Our Mission
Change starts with yourself. We at Hef en Hijs Online have a mission to make the industry more sustainable. We want to operate as sustainably as possible in every area, from logistics to the production of our products. However, we cannot do this alone. That is why we are passing this mission on to our customers and suppliers, to jointly make the industry more sustainable for the preservation of our planet.
Recycle
- At Hef en Hijs Online, we do everything we can to make our process as sustainable as possible. We do this by, among other things, separating all our waste. For example, we separate cardboard, plastic, polyester, and more. By separating this waste, it can be recycled more easily, meaning no raw materials are wasted.
- We are also one of the few companies to recycle all polyester. This can range from rejected lifting slings to broken round slings. As a customer, you can also hand in your old or rejected polyester free of charge, proportionate to the number of polyester items you have ordered. If you don't order anything, you can still drop off all your polyester with us at a competitive rate. This is then all recycled and new polyester lifting items are made from it.
- Customers can also use our environmental street where you can hand in: iron, polyester, hand tools, plastic, copper, and more.
Customers & Suppliers
- When purchasing our products, we consider the companies we do business with. At Hef en Hijs Online, we only work with companies that are committed to fair labor practices and actively strive for more sustainable production.
- We also prefer to purchase from local businesses to support the local economy, which benefits society by boosting local prosperity. Another advantage of buying from local businesses is fewer logistical movements, contributing to lower CO2 emissions.
- We also stand for responsible purchasing. We do not buy more than necessary to prevent packaging waste, nor do we buy more than needed to combat product waste and keep transportation movements to a minimum.
Sustainable trade
As mentioned earlier, our mission at Hef en Hijs Online is to make the industry more sustainable. The only way to truly make an impact on CO2 and waste reduction is together. That is why we encourage our customers to buy both sustainable and ethically responsible products. We do this, among other things, by stimulating recycling and contributing to the local economy, as this benefits society as a whole.
Certificates & Regulations
- We have deliberately chosen to produce our products in Europe. As a result, every product meets the strictest European standards. These standards relate to product safety and product sustainability. Adhering to these standards during production ensures a long lifespan.
- With every product, you receive an online certificate as standard, and the product is inspected by a specialist. We chose an online certificate, among other reasons, to avoid wasting paper. The entire inspection administration is also online, which also saves paper. Where we used to need a lot of paper, we now have an online system that prevents paper waste.
The good example
- As mentioned earlier, change starts with yourself. If we want others to follow our mission, we must set a good example ourselves. And that's what we do. We do this, among other things, by having our entire roof covered with solar panels. This allows our entire management to charge their cars with green energy. That's not all, as all our air conditioners can also run on this green energy, meaning we use no gas for heating our building.
- We also want others to follow us in sustainable business practices. Sustainable business goes beyond saving energy. It also involves collaborating with ethically responsible companies. Of course, we do that too. In addition, we consider the local economy and society very important. For example, we support local initiatives to promote society, and we only work with companies that are committed to ethically responsible products and work processes.
- Not only our management drives hybrid or electric vehicles, but we also have an electric van with which we can collect and deliver products to keep our emissions as low as possible.
