De Petzl FREINO Z is een karabiner met een geïntegreerd remspoor. Door het touw om dat spoor te leggen voeg je extra wrijving toe aan je afdaalapparaat — handig bij zware lasten, dun touw of lange afdalingen waarbij je meer controle wilt.

Het spoor zit aan de zijkant, zodat je het touw kunt inleggen en weer vrijmaken zonder het apparaat los te koppelen. De karabiner zelf heeft een automatische Triact-sluiting en houdt 23 kN op de lengte-as.
