De Sioen Newton is een wind- en waterdichte regenjas met vlamboogbescherming APC 2, de hoogste klasse van de boxtest (7 kA).

Ondanks het hoge beschermingsniveau is de jas opvallend licht. Met 2 lussen voor gasdetectie, elastische vernauwing in de rug en een staande kraag waar een capuchon (apart verkrijgbaar) aan bevestigd kan worden.

Vlamboogkleding beschermt alleen als gesloten geheel: draag jas en broek (of een overall) van minimaal dezelfde klasse en draag eronder geen smeltende synthetische kleding. Welke klasse nodig is, volgt uit de risico-inventarisatie (RI&E) en de vlamboog-risicoanalyse van de werkgever. De fabrikant certificeert per maat en kleur; de conformiteitsverklaring vind je bij Technische documenten.
